In this event, Amit Kapur and Tim Casio will talk about how to re frame and balance risk strategies while reviewing different projection scenarios. Amit and Tim are seasoned leaders in the tech space with years of experience in tech having weathered previous economic crisis at companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft and Honeywell. As part of his job, Amit has had to navigate regulatory changes and adapt those to unpredictable markets and Tim has gone back to the drawing board to reassess priorities and fiscal projections during the financial crisis in 2008.Â
Amit Kapur is currently employed at The Sparrey Consulting Group, since October 2018, holding the title of CFO.
Before this, Amit held the position of Group Finance Manager, where he managed competitive benchmarking for Microsoft's cloud computing properties, including Azure, Bing, O365 and Dynamics 365. Before this, Amit held the position of Senior Manager, while working at Qualcomm MEMS Technologies, Inc., where he managed competitive benchmarking for the global display industry, especially targeting smartphones and wearables.
Before this, Amit held the position of Senior Research Analyst, while working at Piper Jaffray Companies, covering the global semiconductor industry. Amit completed an MBA in Finance, Strategic Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, in 2001. Additionally, Amit received a BA in Economics and Accounting, in 1996, from Wilfrid Laurier University.
 Tim Casio leads the Samsung NEXT Global M&A team and is based in New York City. The M&A team is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and integrating leading software experiences into the wider Samsung organization with a focus on maximizing potential after acquisition.

Prior to joining Samsung NEXT Tim spent 11 years at Honeywell focused on aerospace and defense electronics and software. He holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
